These secure stores are manufactured to the very high standards required by the shipping industry.

Special features include ventilation, heavyconstruction using Cor-Ten rust resistant steel and fully finished in zinc based primers and paints. The floors are decked with a 30mm marine grade ply and can support forklift access. The containers may be lifted by means of the corner castings or the fork pockets (20’ unladen only).

Secure features include a double steel door set complete with a factory fitted lock box which can house a closed-shackle padlock (pictured below). The doors are also locked using 4 lever rotary locks. The main external structure is fully welded.

Modifications

Shipping containers may be modified for many uses.

We convert containers to be used primarily as secure storage but also as plant rooms for pumps, generators, compressors and control panels. Depending on the extent of the modifications these containers may then be shipped as a standard container. We can also get Lloyd’s Register Type Approval for bespoke modifications if required.

 

Typical modifications include:

• Insulated lining finished internally in a variety of finishes, ranging from a basic plywood up to a durable white enameled steel.
• Electrics including lights, outlets, inlets, heating and climate control can also be fitted.
• Additional secure doors, windows and vents are also possible.
